Frequently Asked Questions

Where are you located?

I live in Lubbock County and accept bouquets from the surrounding area. I do not ship frames at this time so if you would like to book me, be sure you can come to Lubbock County to pick up your frame!

How long will it take?

Depending on the type of flowers, the drying process can take anywhere from 2 to 6 weeks. I will check their status frequently, change paper as needed and create the final piece once all flowers are dry. You can expect to recieve your finished frame within 3 months of my receiving them.

How long will my dried flowers last?

Once pressed and dried, the flowers will last decades.  They should be handled with care but should stay intact inside their frame. I do not advise removing the flowers from their frame for any reason as they may be brittle. If not color corrected, the colors of the flowers may fade as the years pass, but this process will occur slowly if placed out of direct sunlight and away from heat. I like to say that they age a little with time, just as we do.

Can you fix the faded color that naturally occurs with pressed flowers?

Yes! Color-correction is a skill I have been focusing on to return the original color to the pressed flower. My goal is for the flower to look very natural so I use many different methods to achieve this. This extra service adds no additional cost to your order. If you do not wish for me to correct the color of your blooms, please let me know to leave it natural!

How do I book you?

You can message me using this website, email me at prunedandpressed@gmail.com, or direct message me on Instagram. I am usually able to respond within a day or two. Please do not wait until the last minute to book me. I am becoming booked up during wedding season and have had to turn brides away who want last-minute preservations.

How quickly do you need my flowers after my wedding or event?

ASAP. The fresher they are, the better they will turn out. In the meantime, keep your fresh flowers in fresh water, changing the water everyday and in a fridge when available.

Do you require a deposit?

Yes. I require a $100 non-refundable down-payment. This is to reserve your slot and it allows me to purchase your requested frame. The rest of payment can be received upon completion of your order.

Can I provide my own frame?

Absolutely! It may hinder me from being able to do a floating frame but I can certainly do a standard frame with a white or black backboard.

Do you have a store front?

I work out of a home studio but I do stock a booth at KK's Craft Mall located on the NorthEast corner of 66th and Indiana in Lubbock.
